Message from the Principal

Dear Students and Families,

Welcome to a new school year! Whether you’re just beginning high school or preparing to graduate, we want every student to feel known, valued, and supported. Our goal is to create a strong, connected school community where learning and growth go hand in hand.

We believe that students thrive when families and schools work together. Your involvement, no matter how big or small, makes a real impact on your child’s experience and success.

Here are some simple ways you can help your student have a great year:

  • Build good habits: A steady homework routine and quiet study space go a long way.
  • Keep reading alive: Reading together, discussing current events, or simply encouraging a good book helps develop essential skills.
  • Create balance: Limit screen time when possible and encourage time for rest, creativity, and conversation.
  • Celebrate growth: High school is a time of big changes; recognize and support the effort your student puts into learning and growing.
  • Focus on well-being: Good sleep, nutrition, and emotional check-ins help students stay sharp and focused.
  • Reach out often: Stay in touch with teachers using ParentSquare. We’re always here to support your family.

We’re excited to work with you this year and build a strong foundation for every student’s future. Thank you for being part of our school family!

With appreciation,

Dr. Orante Jenkins

All schools in our district use ParentSquare for school communication primarily with email, text, and app notifications.

ParentSquare automatically syncs with our student information system to generate an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number. We encourage parents to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified.

ParentSquare is a safe, secure, and modern approach to communication and collaboration between school and home. Learn more and get started today by viewing our ParentSquare web page. [UPDATE LINK]
